An Introduction to the Chevrolet Spark
The Chevrolet Spark is compact on the outside, with room inside for up to five adults.
The exterior of the car features a dual-port front grille design, angular lines and hidden rear door handles.
As well as great looks, great design should also deliver practical benefits.
There are also high-positioned tail lights, a raised wheel arch design to help aerodynamics and fuel efficiency.
The Spark is available in a range of colours that compliment its funky exterior design.
On the inside the Spark is uncluttered and able to seat five. Equipment includes a radio/CD with AUX-in and USB sockets for your iPod or MP3 player.
The Spark offers a number of cubby holes for things like mobile phones, iPods and MP3 players, bags. There is a centre console compartment for small items such as cards, car park tickets and coins.
There’s also a double cup holder, a colour-co-ordinated storage tray on the front passenger side of the instrument panel.
The latest Spark has a large tailgate which opens to reveal a cargo space of 170 litres with the rear seats in place. Fold the split/fold seats flat and this is extended to more than 568 litres of luggage room. Both of these are more favourable than what is on offer with the used Chevrolet Spark.
The Chevrolet Spark has six aribags to protect its occupants from every direction. It is fitted with twin front airbags in the dash, side curtain airbags to protect heads and additional seat-mounted thorax and abdomen airbags.
All Spark seatbelts are fitted with pre-tensioners. In the back, there are three 3-point belts and standard ISOFIX child seat fixings on the outer two seats.
In official NCAP testing of frontal and side barrier tests, the Spark scored maximum points for its protection potential of a three-year-old occupant. Top specification Chevrolet spark’s have stability control as standard and it’s an option for the rest of the range.
The Chevrolet spark has a choice of two petrol engines - the 1.0 litre or 1.2 litre power units with four cylinders - both of which are available with a five-speed manual gearbox. Both engines average 55.4mpg and emit 119g/km of carbon dioxide.
Accessories on the Chevrolet spark include bike carriers, ski racks and roof boxes. When it comes to child safety, the range offers these items - a child seat “Duo Plus”, a baby seat “Baby Safe Plus” and an Isofix base for “Baby Safe Plus".
The Chevrolet Spark comes with five years’ warranty, servicing, roadside assistance and MoT test cover.
